all byself. My travel friend said he has a cold and don't feel like walking so, I had to go myself. It was, weird. Totally freaky. I ended up at Kamari, alone. I was contemplating to get off the bus. I did, and when the bus left, I regretted. No tourists, noone else, just me, myself and I. The place looked, deserted. There was 1 guy walking his dog on the beach, and another cleaning up the restaurant, and that was it. Famous beach...I see...*shaky hands and legs*. It had black sand, blue sea and was surrounded by hills. It was, pretty but I felt very lonely.
I took, a few photographs and felt a need to get outta there. No idea what time the bus was gonna come back though. So I made my way to Ancient Thira, following my map and the sign board. On the way, I found a travel buddy. Guess who? A dog. Lol. The dog followed me, up the hill, up the hill, up to the way to Ancient Thira. On the way, there was this sign that said, not open on Mondays. CRAP. It's Monday. Sigh. I wanted to turn back down, but then I wanted to get to Perissa which on the map said was after Ancient Thira via the road I was on. So I proceeded towards the road blocked by tractors and lorries.
There were people working on the road and it seemed blocked however the man said I could walk, so I did and I walked towards him. Then I pointed to the map and told him I wanted to get to Perissa. He looked at me with widened eyes and said. No...then he put his fingers up showing 4. 4 km far, he said. And then, he showed UP and then DOWN. And I was like? omg. Up the mountain down the mountain, 4 km. Gasp. It wasn't a pleasant walk. The mountain looked steep. Then I asked where was Ancient Thira, and he said up the mountain as well. *heart falls*. Then I said, okay, I'll walk back that way (back to Kamari where I came from). Thank you.
When I was back in Kamari, there was still no bus. *sigh* *frown*. Looks at the map, okay, I'll walk. The dog was still walking with me. So loyal. She wanted to chase the cat, she did, and when she remembered, she stopped and came back to walk beside me. I felt bad it had to accompany me walk so far. I walked, she walked, I stopped, she stopped. I continued walking and wanted to reach the next town. But after quite a distance, I went into a shop and asked where I was. She still said Kamari. I was like what? I think I'm well beyond Kamari. She probably didn't understand what I said, but I decided to stand there and wait for the bus. I saw the bus pass by finally after a few minutes but in the opposite direction. It was definitely gonna come back out. Alleluia. Happiness. But I felt guilty because, the dog, walked so far with me, and I was gonna leave it there and take the bus T_T. So, I took some water, and gave some to her, and i also gave her some of my Mousaka from last night which I brought along as my breakfast / lunch. At least that made me feel less guilty. Reward for accompanying me, which made me feel less weird when the Greeks stared at me and passed by. Bye bye doggy, I'm on the bus YES!
I arrived back at the station, and I only paid 40 cents for the ticket. It was suppose to be 1.40. Lucky! =). The trip was such a waste, but I guess, worth it after being charged that little.

My travel buddy, Miss Dog
I had to climb over this mountain to get over the other side which is Perissa. I'm not that insane yet...
